What you will do

• Lead and develop the Risk team, establishing clear structures and high performance standards.
• Own credit underwriting quality and portfolio performance across B2B and B2C segments.
• Build scalable risk processes, policies, and decision frameworks to support rapid expansion.
• Drive automation and data-driven decision-making within the risk function.
• Manage the balance between aggressive growth and defined risk appetite to keep losses controlled.
• Collaborate directly with the founder to shape the long-term risk strategy.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in credit risk and underwriting, ideally across B2B and consumer lending.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-changing and ambiguous environments.
• Data-driven approach to decision-making combined with strategic thinking.
• Strong ownership mentality and a hands-on approach to execution.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Berlin, Germany
