Legal Counsel EMEA M&A (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Provide legal advice and support throughout the lifecycle of cross-border M&A, joint ventures, investments, internal reorganisations, and other corporate transactions across EMEA.
• Advise internal stakeholders on due diligence, legal documentation, regulatory filings, legal risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with Corporate Development and other stakeholders to support efficient transaction decision-making.
• Drive the implementation and standardisation of M&A templates, processes, playbooks, and legal operations improvements.
• Support transaction integration, manage external counsel, and contribute to legal training, know-how, and best-practice initiatives.
• Lead or support new business initiatives, including the use of AI-enabled tools in transactional and legal operations.

Requirements

• Law degree, Juris Doctor, or equivalent, with an active licence to practise law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• At least 6 years of relevant legal experience in cross-border M&A and corporate transactions across EMEA or globally.
• Training or post-qualification experience at an international law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Strong judgement, communication, complex problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to align legal and business objectives while managing legal risk across multiple transactions and deadlines.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in languages other than English.
• AI literacy and awareness of AI-enabled tools for transactional and legal operations.
