TL;DR
Depot Fleet EV Charging Engineer (EV Infrastructure): Delivering Tier 2 technical support and maintaining complex EV charging infrastructure with an accent on troubleshooting AC/DC systems, networking, and OCPP protocols. Focus on resolving customer escalations, managing OEM relationships, and ensuring operational continuity through proactive monitoring and on-call support.
Location: Must have the legal right to work in the UK. Role is fully remote.
Salary: £55,000–£58,000 per year.

What you will do
- Resolve complex technical incidents and service requests for EV charging infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor system platforms to detect and mitigate bottlenecks or emerging issues.
- Take full ownership of customer escalations and drive them to resolution.
- Collaborate with Tier 3 software teams and external OEM partners during major incidents.
- Support commissioning activities, including site onboarding, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Contribute to a 24/7/365 on-call engineering rota to ensure operational uptime.
Requirements
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting AC and DC charging infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of OCPP protocols and message analysis.
- Qualified electrician with knowledge of single and three-phase systems.
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting local networks, routers, and load management.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical support or managed services within the EV or energy sector.
Nice to have
- Experience working with multiple OCPP hardware vendors and back-office platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project.
