Senior Software Development Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: London, United Kingdom; office work required three times a week

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain robust full-stack applications and scalable services across multiple domains.
• Lead end-to-end development, including system design, API design, data modeling, and delivery of maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define requirements and deliver user-centric features.
• Mentor engineers and promote strong practices in coding, testing, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions safely, securely, and ethically.
• Contribute across different technical stacks, domains, and platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience building scalable, user-centric products and solving complex technical problems with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills for translating technical details to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, workflows, and AI/ML concepts applied to real-world products.
• Ability to work from the London office three times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, event-driven, and composable architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin for server-side development or React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience refactoring and modernizing legacy codebases and architectures.
• Experience integrating and optimizing AI/ML features or workflows in production systems.
