Senior Software Development Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance three times a week

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain robust full stack applications and scalable services across multiple domains.
• Lead end-to-end development, including system design, API design, data modelling, and solution quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define requirements and deliver impactful features.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and operational excellence.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions securely and ethically to improve customer and business outcomes.
• Contribute across different technical stacks, domains, and platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong engineering skills, experience building scalable user-centric products, and the ability to solve complex problems with cross-functional teams.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Growth-minded, data-driven approach with a commitment to continuous learning and experimentation.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, workflows, and real-world AI/ML applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, event-driven, or composable system architectures and evaluating trade-offs for scale, reliability, and delivery speed.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin for server-side development or React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience refactoring and modernising legacy codebases and architectures.
• Experience integrating and optimising AI/ML-enabled features or workflows in production systems.
