What you will do
- Own mission-critical pricing services from technical design and API contracts through implementation, deployment, and operations.
- Build and operate high-throughput, low-latency distributed services for global-scale travel pricing.
- Analyze complex business and technical problems, break them into milestones, and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical documentation, code reviews, and framework or design-pattern recommendations.
- Drive operational excellence through testing, SLAs, monitoring, alerting, resiliency, and scalability practices.
- Mentor team members and promote technical growth and collaboration across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of professional software development experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of post-degree experience.
- Hands-on software development experience with Java, Scala, Kotlin, or similar object-oriented or functional programming languages.
- Experience building and operating scalable distributed systems in AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data structures, API patterns, service-oriented architectures, and distributed caching tools such as Redis, Couchbase, or Memcached.
- Experience driving technical design end to end for at least three projects and formally mentoring at least three individuals.
- Experience with Agile development, version control, continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, monitoring, and alerting.
Nice to have
- Experience with low-latency, high-throughput microservices processing 1M+ TPS.
- Experience safely integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions into backend systems and using AI-driven tools or workflows.
