Salary: $210,000 – $230,000 Annually USD

What you will do

• Own the AI evaluations and observability platform, including tracing, logs, and quality signals.
• Design and operationalize automated and human-in-the-loop evaluation strategies for AI systems.
• Establish production-ready standards, release gates, and incident playbooks for AI.
• Build and operate AI guardrails, including content controls, PII detection, and audit logging.
• Translate governance and risk expectations into functional engineering systems and platform controls.
• Hire, mentor, and grow the team while maintaining a hands-on role in writing and reviewing production code.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in management or technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience building and operating production AI systems, specifically LLM-powered or agentic workflows.
• Strong proficiency in backend systems and API design using Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with AI observability, evaluation systems, and implementing AI guardrails.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks like NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
• Must be based in the US and eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in legal technology or regulated SaaS environments.
• Background in privacy-sensitive systems and PII handling.
• Experience with AI incident reviews or red-team exercises.
