About the Role

You will build and operate the infrastructure that powers tax and AI driven personal finance tools. You will scale databases, automate deployments, and establish the infrastructure foundation for AI driven features. This is infrastructure with a direct line to users, so what you build helps people make informed financial decisions. You will ensure uptime during peak periods and partner with backend and AI teams to stand up staging environments and ship new features.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with GCP including GKE AlloyDB/CloudSQL Redis Pub/Sub GCS Secret Manager and IAM
• Strong Terraform skills including module development and state management
• Kubernetes proficiency including cluster management Workload Identity autoscaling PodDisruptionBudgets and node pools
• Database operations at scale including PostgreSQL/AlloyDB read pools, connection pooling (PgBouncer), and capacity planning
• High-traffic web app experience with seasonal traffic handling, zero-downtime deploys, and rapid rollback
• Monitoring and observability including alerting strategies and SLO/SLI definition

Responsibilities

• Operate and scale the GKE clusters powering the web app, with KEDA driven autoscaling
• Manage the database infrastructure including primary instances, read pools, connection pooling, and PSC networking
• Maintain Redis caching layers for session and data caching at scale
• Operate GitOps pipelines and image driven promotion workflows from staging to production
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for consistent deployments across environments
• Implement observability with OpenTelemetry, including monitors, dashboards, metric routing with PII stripping, and Pub/Sub export
• Secure the platform with Cloudflare integration, Cloud Armor WAF, TLS certificates, and secrets management via GCP Secret Manager
• Partner with backend and AI teams to stand up staging environments for experiments and shipping new features
