What you will do

• Develop new features and enhance existing backend services.
• Improve unit test coverage to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Consolidate and standardize technical documentation.
• Support application modernization initiatives.
• Explore emerging technologies for payment system architecture.
• Collaborate with the e-Transfer team and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field from a Canadian institution.
• Proficiency in at least one OOP language (e.g., Java, Python).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend service development.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and Agile methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, pytest).
• Must be based in Toronto to support the hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java Springboot.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
• Interest in payment systems, ML, or data analytics.
