What you will do

• Develop and lead an independent research programme in digital system and circuit design, including systems-on-chip and hardware for signal processing and machine learning.
• Advance energy-efficient hardware solutions for signal processing, machine learning and control in smart sensors and implantable medical devices.
• Explore novel computing paradigms, including neuromorphic and quantum computing.
• Strengthen at least one strategic theme: Health & Well-being, Next-Generation Wireless Communications, or Autonomous Sensor Systems.
• Teach and supervise BSc, MSc and PhD students, contributing to an inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate across disciplines and with leading industrial partners, using state-of-the-art microfabrication facilities and advanced laboratories.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong independent research profile with a clear long-term research vision.
• Postdoctoral research experience in academia, industry, or both.
• Excellent and growing publication record in leading international journals and conferences.
• Demonstrated potential to acquire competitive research funding and build sustainable collaborations with industry and research partners.
• English: excellent and effective communication orally and in writing.
