Staff Solutions Architect (Central)

Staff Solutions Architect (Central): Leading technical engagement with customers and prospects to drive adoption of Temporal’s platform with an accent on distributed systems architecture and production-grade reliability. Focus on positioning Temporal against competing technologies, guiding engineering teams through complex architectural challenges, and owning the technical relationship with key decision-makers.

Location: Must be based in the United States, specifically within the Central Time Zone (Chicago, Dallas, or Austin preferred).

Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 (Total compensation including base and variable).

What you will do

• Collaborate with prospects to evaluate the suitability of their applications for the Temporal platform.
• Educate customers on the technical benefits, limitations, and architectural patterns of Temporal’s cloud service.
• Position Temporal as a superior solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster adoption and expansion of Temporal within customer production environments.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive technical account plans.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers to ensure successful platform leverage.

Requirements

• Must reside within the Central Time Zone (Chicago, Dallas, or Austin preferred).
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in building prototypes and providing guidance in Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.
• Strong grasp of operational considerations including security, reliability, performance, and cost management.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and production-level application services.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
