What you will do

• Own end-to-end experience delivery across complex, cross-functional initiatives, making strategic scope, sequencing, and tradeoff decisions.
• Define how AI should behave in high-stakes member journeys, including uncertainty communication, human-AI handoffs, and trust-building.
• Build functional, high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and move beyond static mockups.
• Develop scalable AI-powered patterns (confidence indicators, progressive disclosure, human-AI handoffs) that standardize the design system.
• Partner strategically with Engineering, Product, Clinical, and Data to translate model outputs into intuitive interfaces and align teams.
• Mentor design and non-design partners, resolve cross-functional tensions, and champion company-wide cultural initiatives.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the US (Hub cities include New York, NY) for remote/hybrid work.
• Daily AI fluency: strong prompting and synthesis using tools such as Claude, Figma AI, Cursor, or similar.
• Ability to ship working prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools in a healthcare context.
• Technical depth: experience shipping code to production and ability to discuss backend architecture, model behavior, and system constraints.
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic ownership: success metrics, ambiguity navigation, and influencing product/design direction.
• Cross-functional leadership: driving complex projects across multiple teams without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, health tech, or other regulated domains.
• Background working with ML and AI teams on model-driven products.
• Experience contributing to or building a consumer-grade design system (e.g., Figma variables and advanced component architecture).
