What you will do
- Design a multimodal, battery-powered embedded device for intra-oral sensing and wireless data transmission.
- Collect and process data from the human mouth using on-board AI models for downstream analysis.
- Work across embedded systems, embedded AI, low-power electronics, and signal processing.
- Collaborate with researchers and partner universities/industry within the SMILE consortium.
- Advance intra-oral sensing to support non-invasive sleep studies.
Requirements
- MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong programming and debugging skills for embedded (ARM) microcontrollers.
- Android operating system knowledge and Android application development experience.
- Signal processing skills for signals collected from embedded mobile platforms.
- Practical PCB design experience (KiCad).
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
