What you will do

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the organization.
• Own month-end close, management accounts, and board-level reporting.
• Build robust financial controls, compliance processes, and reporting frameworks.
• Manage cash flow, runway planning, treasury, and the scaling of unit economics.
• Oversee contract management, annual statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Support payroll operations, benefits administration, and headcount planning.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent credentials.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, ideally within high-growth tech or AI environments.
• Proven experience building or improving finance processes from scratch.
• Ability to operate as the most senior finance professional within the company.
• Strong communication skills to simplify complex financial data.
• Must be based in London for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Series A or B fundraising rounds.
• Exposure to SaaS, deep tech, or open-source business models.
• Familiarity with employment law, HR operations, or benefits administration.
• Experience working with legal teams on commercial contracts.
