What you will do

• Design and implement software solutions for the Nordex Acciona wind farm controller.
• Translate functional control requirements into robust code primarily using PLC-based languages, C#, and C++.
• Develop and optimize industrial communication interfaces such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, and IEC60870-5-101/104.
• Validate control software through lab tests and remote field tests.
• Collaborate with Control and Grid Code teams to enhance system performance.
• Provide 3rd-level technical support for the global wind farm fleet.

Requirements

• University degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Solid programming experience in C#, C++, and/or IEC 61131-3 based PLC programming.
• Strong understanding of PLC architectures and control algorithms.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, DNP3, Bluecom).
• Fluent English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Ability to work from the company office in Hamburg.

Nice to have

• Experience in embedded systems and real-time applications.
• Knowledge of grid codes and renewable energy systems (BESS, PV, hybrid plants).
• Experience with IEC61400-25 namespace and model-based design (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Knowledge of German or Spanish languages.
