TL;DR
Senior Engineer Windfarm Control Development (C#/C++/PLC): Developing and programming wind farm control software for the Nordex Acciona controller with an accent on technical implementation, architecture, and communication interfaces. Location: Must be based in or be able to work from the Hamburg office (Germany) or Sarriguren (Spain); hybrid model with up to 8 days of mobile work per month.

What you will do
- Design and implement software solutions for the Nordex Acciona wind farm controller.
- Translate functional control requirements into robust code primarily using PLC-based languages, C#, and C++.
- Develop and optimize industrial communication interfaces such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, and IEC60870-5-101/104.
- Validate control software through lab tests and remote field tests.
- Collaborate with Control and Grid Code teams to enhance system performance.
- Provide 3rd-level technical support for the global wind farm fleet.
Requirements
- University degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Solid programming experience in C#, C++, and/or IEC 61131-3 based PLC programming.
- Strong understanding of PLC architectures and control algorithms.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, DNP3, Bluecom).
- Fluent English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Ability to work from the company office in Hamburg.
Nice to have
- Experience in embedded systems and real-time applications.
- Knowledge of grid codes and renewable energy systems (BESS, PV, hybrid plants).
- Experience with IEC61400-25 namespace and model-based design (MATLAB/Simulink).
- Knowledge of German or Spanish languages.
