What you will do

• Conceptualize, design, and deliver MGSEs for assembly and testing activities.
• Perform stress analysis and hand calculations to ensure design safety margins.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for GSE.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturing processes.
• Oversee manufacturing progress and provide technical support to AIT technicians during installation.
• Support the design of automation components including electrical motors and control systems.

Requirements

• Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD design (Siemens NX) and FE analysis (Hypermesh).
• Background in design and FE analysis of steel structures (welded or bolted).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining and welding.
• Basic hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and machining tools.
• Good English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with planning and execution of in-house mechanical tests.
• Previous experience in space AIT and MGSE design.
• German language skills.
