What you will do

• Conceptualize and develop complex injection‑molded plastic components and mechanical sub‑assemblies.
• Optimize assemblies for manufacturing, assembly, cost, and quality.
• Manage tooling design, conduct tool reviews, and perform first‑article inspections.
• Coordinate technical requirements with external suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance for junior mechanical design engineers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across engineering, production, and supply chain.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional experience in hardware or mechanical engineering.
• Background in automotive, aerospace, defense, or safety‑critical product standards.
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 and deep experience with injection‑molded parts for high‑volume production.
• Experience collaborating with electronics, powertrain, and propulsion engineers.
• Pragmatic, ownership‑driven mindset with the ability to move fast.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Gilching, Germany.
