What you will do

• Conduct governance of vendor teams performing accounting operations, including financial close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for Canadian entities in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Monitor KPIs and SLA metrics to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk management.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate income tax, VAT, and other local legal reporting.
• Support internal audits and ensure SOX compliance requirements are met.
• Manage continuous process improvement and identify opportunities for automation to enhance internal procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance with 2+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience.
• Proficiency in both English and French is required for operations in Canada.
• Strong background in accounting close and financial reporting activities.
• Proven ability to influence without authority and drive accountability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Strong collaboration and business partnership skills.

Nice to have

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience (Bachelor's) or 3+ years (Master's).
• Experience with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
• Experience in tax planning and optimization initiatives.
