What you will do

• Serve as subject matter expert for ASC 805, 606, 842, 718 and other complex non-routine transactions
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of company-wide accounting policies
• Provide technical accounting guidance and disclosure recommendations to ensure US GAAP compliance
• Evaluate accounting implications of M&A, new product launches, and international expansion
• Prepare and document technical accounting analyses, position memos, and financial statement disclosures
• Collaborate with external auditors and support internal control design and SOX compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active CPA license
• 8+ years of professional experience in audit, technical accounting for public filers, or SEC reporting
• Strong expertise in US GAAP research and drafting technical position memos
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-accountants
• Must be based in Washington, DC
