Emerging Data Platform Technologies Architect

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Bridgewater, New Jersey office, with in-person collaboration two days a week; remote work is available.

Salary: $164,000–$213,000 annual

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, cloud-native data platforms using AWS, GCP, and Snowflake.
• Lead data engineering development, including ETL workflows and data pipeline frameworks with Qlik Talend, Python, SQL, AWS, and GCP services.
• Develop AI/ML capabilities, ML Ops workflows, serverless architectures, and containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish data governance, quality, lineage, metadata management, cataloging, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Optimize data ingestion, transformations, query performance, workload management, and automated data reconciliation.
• Define technology roadmaps and collaborate with business stakeholders and managed services to deliver data solutions for R&D, clinical, commercial analytics, and regulatory needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or technology and 10+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud computing, and data engineering.
• Expertise in Snowflake, Talend, Qlik, AWS, GCP, and modern data engineering tools.
• Strong experience with ETL, data lakes, data warehousing, streaming architectures, SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud-native analytics services.
• Experience in biopharma, life sciences, or healthcare, with knowledge of regulatory compliance including HIPAA, GxP, and GDPR.
• Understanding of AI/ML integration and MLOps, plus the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Snowflake, Talend, or GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Experience with Veeva CRM or Salesforce Health Cloud.
• Experience with Qlik Sense or similar data visualization tools.
