What you will do

• Define the multi-year technical vision and architecture strategy for the P&S Engineering Services portfolio.
• Act as a technical advisor to Director and VP-level leadership to align technology investments with business goals.
• Design and build critical, large-scale systems and solve the organization's most ambiguous technical problems.
• Establish engineering excellence standards for code quality, security, observability, and availability.
• Mentor Principal Engineers and guide career growth and promotion assessments across the company.
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies like agentic architectures and AI/ML to create competitive advantage.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with increasing complexity and scope.
• Proven track record as a technical leader influencing architecture across multiple organizations.
• Expert-level skills in system design and large-scale distributed systems or web services.
• Experience acting as a trusted advisor to Director or VP-level leadership.
• Must be based in London, GBR.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for VP-level influence.

Nice to have

• Active AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps, or Machine Learning Specialty).
• Experience developing and managing AI/ML products at scale, including agentic architectures.
• Published technical articles, conference presentations, or significant open-source contributions.
• Track record of identifying technology trends and pioneering new technical spaces.
