Principal Financial Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Salary: $194,500–$263,500 annual base pay, plus cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise leadership on one- and three-year strategic plans, risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.
• Partner with Marketing, Analytics, and channel partners to define and monitor KPIs.
• Build and maintain financial models for promotions, pricing, sales channels, product portfolio decisions, and customer lifecycle economics.
• Prepare month-end close packages, variance analyses, and other financial reporting deliverables.
• Partner with Accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment of transactions.
• Streamline, standardize, and automate finance processes while coaching and developing talent.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in FP&A roles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience building complex financial models.
• Ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
• Strong influencing, communication, prioritization, and change-management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive business growth.
• BS/BA in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hyperion Essbase.
• Experience in software, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses.
• MBA.
