Test Engineer

What you will do

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to create test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing and maintain accurate defect documentation and requirement traceability.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and improve automation frameworks, reporting, and testing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and maintain detailed testing documentation, including test results and summary reports.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Location: based in Torreón (Coahuila)
• 2–5 years of experience as a Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or in a similar software testing role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing across different applications.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Nice to have

• Automation testing experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
• API testing experience using Postman or Swagger.
• Performance testing exposure with JMeter or k6.
• ISTQB certification or a similar testing-related certification.
