QA Engineer

TL;DR

QA Engineer (Portal & Mobile Testing): Testing a portal software product and its mobile applications/addons with an accent on expanding coverage across the OBIS platform (including RTPI server) and improving automated testing. Focus on building and evolving test frameworks, executing tests across the test pyramid, and producing quality reports while working in agile Scrum teams.

What you will do

• Test the portal software product, along with mobile applications and addons that complement the core software.
• Extend testing as the portal and OBIS solution become a single platform, including components such as the RTPI server and other OBIS elements.
• Set up and configure test benches and support the team in selecting suitable test methods and tools across the full lifecycle.
• Develop and execute tests across the test pyramid, combining automated tests and manual testing.
• Further develop an existing automated test framework and create software quality reports (defects, test coverage, test case documentation).
• Support agile testing practices in interdisciplinary and international Scrum teams.

Requirements

• Experience in functional and non-functional software testing in a professional software development environment.
• Experience with test automation and tools such as Python (Robot Framework) and/or Selenium.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Good programming/scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Shell/Bash) and familiarity with developer tools such as Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
• Very good English and German language skills are required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in software development/computer science (or equivalent education) with emphasis on system integration or application development.

Nice to have

• ISTQB tester degree (or comparable).
• Experience with test management tools and continuous integration systems.
• Several years of experience as an agile tester working with developers and product owners.
