Power Integrity Engineer

Location: Onsite in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, United States of America.

Salary: USD 95,800–220,500 annual base salary in Wisconsin; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Develop high-power, high-current power distribution systems for high-end CPU, GPU, and networking systems.
• Perform power integrity and signal integrity engineering with a focus on low-noise distribution, high transient currents, and isolation from sensitive clocks.
• Design electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms using established engineering principles.
• Develop parameters, processes, and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form, fit, function, shock and vibration, EMI, safety, reliability, thermal performance, and system power measurements.
• Collaborate with management, internal teams, and outsourced development partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Lead electrical hardware engineers and development partners on complex projects, represent the hardware team across project phases, and mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience.
• Experience using electrical design tools and software packages, including SPICE modeling, circuit modeling and simulations, HFSS, ANSYS, PowerDC/PowerSI, and Allegro.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic circuits.
• Experience using empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with mastery of English and the local language; ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
