What you will do

• Review and release system-generated interim bill invoices according to guidelines.
• Audit ACH billing and retiree pension deductions for monthly accuracy.
• Prepare month-end reconciliations for insurance carriers and coordinate with the Finance unit.
• Process premium refunds, unidentified cash, and policy adjustments.
• Resolve payment and reporting discrepancies through direct communication with insurance carriers.
• Handle billing and collection inquiries from insureds and resolve escalated complaints.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing and customer service.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word.

Nice to have

• Experience working with labor unions and multiple billing cycles.
• Prior knowledge of insurance programs and JMAX software.
