TL;DR

Accounts Payable Specialist (Finance): Managing high-volume vendor invoices and financial operations with an accent on accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Milford, CT, USA (Hybrid role).

Salary: $50,100 – $75,100

What you will do

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices ensuring proper coding and policy compliance.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain accurate vendor files and documentation.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and AP aging analysis.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve AP processes and workflows.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, general ledger coding, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Oracle.
  • Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a mid-size or high-volume AP environment.
  • Knowledge of 3-way matching and PO-based workflows.
  • Familiarity with expense management tools.
