Compensation Specialist

Location: Hybrid schedule in Buffalo/East Aurora, New York; must live locally in the Buffalo area for onsite work.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually

What you will do

• Support annual compensation cycles, pay review materials, salary increase processes, and related training.
• Conduct compensation planning, salary benchmarking surveys, and market trend analysis.
• Manage job matching methodology, market reference jobs, salary structures, and job catalog audits.
• Perform compensation audits and support compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare general and ad hoc compensation reports and analyses.
• Advise HR partners on compensation guidelines, best practices, and educational resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than three years of experience in compensation analysis, benchmarking, and program administration.
• Strong knowledge of job evaluation, salary benchmarking methodologies, and compliance practices.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of solving complex problems and collaborating with HR professionals.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, compensation survey tools, and data reporting platforms.
• Must live locally in the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.
