Managing Data Architect— Data & Cloud Architecture Lead (Cloud Data Platforms)

Location: Research Triangle Park, NC, USA; full-time, 5-day-a-week, on-site role located in Rocky Mount, NC. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization.

Compensation: $138,480–$263,160 annually in the U.S.; location-based ranges also apply, including $166,200–$315,720 in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City, and $152,400–$289,440 in several other listed locations. Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into data models, schemas, architectures, and business-driven IT solutions.
• Lead the data and information lifecycle across acquisition, transformation, classification, storage, presentation, distribution, security, privacy, and archiving.
• Design centralized and distributed data systems, infrastructure, platforms, and cloud storage solutions.
• Work with relational, hierarchical, and object-oriented databases, file systems, storage management, document imaging, content management, taxonomies, and business intelligence.
• Conduct solution assurance assessments and verify that proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms, data integration, and data governance frameworks using Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data management best practices.
• Ability to architect, design, and implement infrastructure and platforms from a data and storage perspective.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and Java.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, or a related field.
