Company

hirify.global is a media and entertainment company producing and distributing film, television, streaming, news, sports, theme park, and consumer content.

What you will do

  • Define the end-to-end Microsoft Fabric architecture for a greenfield enterprise data ecosystem, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Intelligence, Eventstream/Eventhouse, notebooks, and semantic models.
  • Establish platform standards for environments, workspaces, security boundaries, deployment, operating principles, data layers, modeling, integration, and performance.
  • Centralize operational data into domain-aligned data products, authoritative sources, reusable datasets, and common data contracts.
  • Architect batch, streaming, event-driven, transactional, master, and reference data solutions across Operations & Technology domains.
  • Lead governance, security, quality, lineage, retention, DevOps, observability, architecture reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Translate architecture and program objectives into epics, stories, tasks, dependencies, implementation sequencing, and delivery guidance for multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, solution architecture, or related roles, including enterprise-scale data platform responsibility.
  • Experience translating architecture and technical strategy into roadmaps, epics, stories, tasks, and implementation plans.
  • Experience serving as a technical lead across multidisciplinary engineering teams or complex technical programs.
  • Strong experience designing lakehouse and/or warehouse architectures with layered raw, enriched, and curated data patterns.
  • Strong SQL expertise and proficiency with Python and/or PySpark.
  • Experience architecting solutions on Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, or comparable enterprise cloud data platforms.
  • Experience designing batch and real-time/event-driven solutions, APIs, data integration, distributed processing, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, observable, supportable production data platforms and strong understanding of modeling, metadata, lineage, governance, and data quality.
  • Ability to evaluate tradeoffs across scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, cost, and business requirements; communicate architecture to technical and business audiences; and operate in a greenfield environment.

Nice to have

  • Greenfield enterprise data platform or major data ecosystem modernization experience.
  • Deep hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, notebooks, Real-Time Intelligence, Eventstream/Eventhouse, semantic models, and Power BI.
  • Experience with Fabric workspace, domain, environment, security, capacity, and deployment strategies; Azure data technologies; Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Kinesis, or equivalent.
  • Experience with CDC, near-real-time ingestion, governance tooling, cataloging, lineage, classification, data contracts, retention, privacy, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, SLAs/SLOs, data quality monitoring, architecture decision records, reference architectures, and reusable technical patterns.
  • Experience supporting analytics, machine learning, generative AI, or agentic applications; large-scale Operations & Technology environments; or media, entertainment, and consumer technology.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for technical design discussions and complex architecture decisions.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fully remote work from a non-hirify.global worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, discounts, and other company-sponsored benefits.
