What you will do

• Optimize high-power ablative laser processes for micron-precision modification of diamond with high yields and throughput.
• Mentor team members in conducting rigorous, well-designed experiments and utilizing production equipment.
• Lead key projects focused on equipment and automation improvements to support scalable manufacturing.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, overseeing laser processes and optimizing process controls and data collection.
• Revolutionize high-power ablative systems to achieve world-leading precision and performance.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Materials Science, Applied Physics (materials, laser, or optics focus), or Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in laser materials processing and optical fundamentals.
• Experience in rigorous experimentation, documentation, and data-driven process improvements.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (via E-Verify).
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and using ladders.

Nice to have

• Experience in mass production of diamond, semiconductors, and/or ceramics.
