Technician (Automotive)

TL;DR

Technician (Automotive): Building and maintaining concept, prototype, and production level vehicles and simulation rigs with an accent on high-performance standards and engineering precision. Focus on interpreting complex technical drawings, executing precise vehicle assembly, and managing test activities at racing circuits and proving grounds.

Location: Woking, Surrey. Must have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.

What you will do

• Build multi-project concept, prototype, and production level vehicles and simulation rigs to the highest standards.
• Maintain and update vehicles and rigs to support ongoing development programmes.
• Prepare and operate vehicles for test activities at industry proving grounds and racing circuits.
• Collaborate with design and engineering staff to establish and achieve technical requirements and specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and instrumentation schedules for accurate builds and modifications.
• Drive high-performance cars in workshop, road, and testing environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in motorsport, prototype, or low-volume high-performance complete vehicle builds.
• Valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
• Ability to travel within the EU and occasionally worldwide for test support.
• Clean driving licence and valid passport.
• IT literacy, including Microsoft Office suite and Virtual Car.

Nice to have

• Welding, machining, and fabrication skills.
• Understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems for fault finding and repair.
• Experience with diagnostic platforms such as MONaco, CANape, and INCA.
