Staff Technical Program Manager, Platform & Infrastructure

Salary: $188,000–$278,000 USD per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of strategic platform and infrastructure programs, including cloud migrations, cost optimization, capacity planning, BYOC, and internal platform foundations.
• Lead infrastructure cost programs with Engineering and Finance, establishing ownership, reporting, forecasting, and unit economics mechanisms.
• Coordinate horizontal initiatives across engineering, security, finance, and go-to-market teams to align stakeholders and unblock execution.
• Manage strategic vendor engagement with AWS, Azure, OpenAI, and Anthropic, including capacity commitments, contract optimization, and escalation paths.
• Define and report platform health metrics covering cost, capacity, migration progress, adoption, reliability SLOs, and operational maturity.
• Run working groups, steering reviews, executive readouts, and risk reviews while sequencing dependencies and evaluating architectural tradeoffs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical program management experience delivering large, ambiguous, multi-quarter platform or infrastructure programs at scale.
• Deep technical fluency in AWS, Azure, or GCP, Kubernetes, databases, networking, observability, CI/CD, and platform or service frameworks.
• Experience leading a large cloud migration, infrastructure cost program, internal platform buildout, or comparable horizontal infrastructure initiative.
• Ability to influence Staff+ individual contributors, engineering managers, and executives without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including distilling technical tradeoffs for executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure cost programs in high-growth environments, cloud migrations, BYOC rollouts, or platform consolidation.
• Experience building or scaling internal platform or developer experience functions.
• Strategic vendor management experience with hyperscalers or foundation model providers.
• Familiarity with Terraform, service meshes, data platforms, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Prior experience as an engineering manager, platform or infrastructure engineer, or SRE.
