IT Service Continuity Manager (Disaster Recovery)

Focus on designing recovery scenario simulations, governing service-tiering models (RTO/RPO), and leading the technical response during catastrophic outages.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office), must be based in Sydney or Melbourne

What you will do

• Govern and mature the ITSCM and Disaster Recovery practice across the enterprise, moving toward a proactive resilience framework.
• Develop and maintain detailed recovery plans, strategies, and roadmaps aligned with business continuity strategies.
• Establish service-tiering models to categorize IT services by criticality and define RTO and RPO targets.
• Design and execute recovery scenario simulations ("Game Days") to ensure technical teams are prepared for real-world events.
• Lead and orchestrate the technical response during catastrophic outages to ensure rapid service restoration.
• Directly lead, manage, and mentor a team of Disaster Recovery coordinators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ITSCM, Disaster Recovery, or Major Incident/Resiliency roles within a large-scale enterprise.
• Deep knowledge of IT Service Continuity management methodologies and best practices.
• Proven experience in relationship management and working within a service integrator or vendor space.
• Must be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or CISSP.
