Focus on developing policy positions, managing advocacy campaigns and political engagement, and guiding cross-functional teams through legislative and regulatory change.
Location: Remote, DC; business travel required, including travel up to 60% of the time
Salary: $202,300–$283,200 per year, plus bonus eligibility based on individual and company performance.

What you will do
- Lead and supervise the Government, Regulatory, and Public Affairs team in collaboration with the CCAO.
- Serve as chief federal lobbyist and monitor, interpret, and respond to legislative, regulatory, and administrative developments.
- Develop and execute federal and state advocacy strategies covering healthcare, Medicaid, Medicare, transportation, personal care, and home-based services.
- Build relationships with federal and state policymakers, agencies, trade associations, coalitions, and advocacy organizations.
- Lead political engagement activities, including development and implementation of the company political action committee.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Business Unit leaders on policy positions, regulatory oversight, audit readiness, and stakeholder communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in a health-related field is preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in federal and state government affairs, public policy, lobbying, legislative work, or regulatory affairs.
- 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams, including remote teams of skilled professionals.
- Experience with healthcare, human services, long-term care, Medicare, Medicaid, non-emergency medical transportation, personal care, virtual care, home monitoring, and state regulatory environments.
- Strong project management, judgment, analytical, strategic thinking, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel 60% of the time and work across jurisdictions with frequent travel.
