TL;DR
Vice President, Government, Regulatory, and Public Affairs (Healthcare): Leading federal and state government affairs, regulatory analysis, lobbying, and policy advocacy for healthcare, home-based care, and transportation services with an accent on Medicaid, Medicare, regulatory oversight, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on developing policy positions, managing advocacy campaigns and political engagement, and guiding cross-functional teams through legislative and regulatory change.

Location: Remote, DC; business travel required, including travel up to 60% of the time

Salary: $202,300–$283,200 per year, plus bonus eligibility based on individual and company performance.

What you will do

  • Lead and supervise the Government, Regulatory, and Public Affairs team in collaboration with the CCAO.
  • Serve as chief federal lobbyist and monitor, interpret, and respond to legislative, regulatory, and administrative developments.
  • Develop and execute federal and state advocacy strategies covering healthcare, Medicaid, Medicare, transportation, personal care, and home-based services.
  • Build relationships with federal and state policymakers, agencies, trade associations, coalitions, and advocacy organizations.
  • Lead political engagement activities, including development and implementation of the company political action committee.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Business Unit leaders on policy positions, regulatory oversight, audit readiness, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in a health-related field is preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in federal and state government affairs, public policy, lobbying, legislative work, or regulatory affairs.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams, including remote teams of skilled professionals.
  • Experience with healthcare, human services, long-term care, Medicare, Medicaid, non-emergency medical transportation, personal care, virtual care, home monitoring, and state regulatory environments.
  • Strong project management, judgment, analytical, strategic thinking, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 60% of the time and work across jurisdictions with frequent travel.
