What you will do

• Supervise day-to-day operations of clinical laboratory personnel, including scheduling and workload delegation.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manage laboratory stock levels.
• Review instrument maintenance logs and QC records to ensure system specifications are met.
• Perform clinical laboratory tests and troubleshoot assay performance for NGS sequencing.
• Ensure strict laboratory compliance with CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations and 5S standards.
• Mentor staff, provide performance feedback, and verify employee competency.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with 4+ years, Master's with 2+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of experience with clinical samples.
• Proficiency in molecular diagnostic techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, and NGS library preparation.
• Strong problem-solving skills for assessing abnormal test performance.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Houston, TX.
