TL;DR

Head of Engineering (HRTech): Leading a global engineering and QA organization of 90+ professionals to unify distributed teams and optimize delivery speed. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Menlo Park, California (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000

What you will do

  • Lead and scale a global engineering organization of 80+ engineers and 12 QA professionals.
  • Optimize delivery cycles and engineering processes to ensure high-velocity shipping.
  • Make critical architectural decisions and provide technical guidance for the product roadmap.
  • Manage a distributed leadership team and drive alignment between US and China offices.
  • Foster a unified engineering culture that balances diverse work styles.
  • Manage engineering budget and headcount planning to support aggressive growth.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Mandarin (critical) with deep understanding of Chinese and Western business cultures.
  • Proven track record leading engineering organizations of 100+ employees.
  • Experience managing senior engineering leaders and scaling teams.
  • Must be able to work from the Menlo Park office 3 days a week.
  • Ability to travel internationally (quarterly trips to China and travel to Canada as needed).
  • Technical depth sufficient to navigate complex architectural trade-offs.
