Salary: $150,000–$400,000 base + equity

What you will do

• Lead and scale an organization composed primarily of principal-level engineers.
• Drive technical decision-making, architecture, and system design for AI-native products.
• Develop platforms combining LLMs, machine learning, and large-scale data analysis.
• Collaborate directly with scientists, researchers, and founders to translate technical strategy into product direction.
• Create an AI-native engineering culture with high-productivity workflows.
• Make critical build-vs-buy decisions across a portfolio of scientific technology companies.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Cambridge, MA (4 days per week).
• Proven experience leading senior engineering organizations with Staff or Principal-level engineers.
• Strong background in personally owning architecture for complex production systems.
• Experience building and scaling products in startup, research, or highly ambiguous environments.
• Track record of hiring exceptional talent and raising the technical bar.
• Strong written communication and technical leadership skills.

• Experience building products for scientists, researchers, or technical experts.
• Background in machine learning, AI, computational biology, chemistry, or physics.
• Experience working at the intersection of research and engineering.
• Exposure to life sciences, biotech, or healthcare domains.
