Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: New Haven, CT, USA

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 USD per year, plus bonus and stock depending on experience.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and manage integration and UX trade-offs.
• Deliver cross-platform solutions through foundational SDKs.
• Optimize functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
• Design efficient abstractions and improve algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with strong systems thinking.
• Ability to design end-to-end systems while prioritizing simplicity and reliability.
• Ability to work quickly, prioritize scope, and make pragmatic delivery decisions.
• Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
• Kotlin Multiplatform experience; Java experience is acceptable, but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform.

• Prior experience with GCP.
