What you will do

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of enterprise infrastructure and services to map how systems interoperate.
• Crystallize and communicate architectural principles grounded in real-world practices across engineering teams.
• Identify gaps and friction points across the technology landscape to drive simplification and consolidation.
• Translate complex systems into accessible artifacts, including reference architectures, diagrams, and written guidance.
• Partner with platform and product engineering teams to align local design decisions with a broader, intentional architecture.
• Mentor engineers and architects in developing stronger architectural thinking and systems mindset.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience designing distributed systems or enterprise platforms at scale.
• Deep, hands-on experience as a builder in production environments to ensure architectural recommendations are practical.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical landscapes into clear mental models and guidance.
• Familiarity with modern cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Eligible to work in the USA (as indicated by company benefits and corporate structure).

Nice to have

• Experience in platform engineering, developer experience (DevEx), or enterprise architecture.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD systems, and developer workflows.
• Experience working within large, federated organizations with distributed ownership.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and agent-based workflows.
