Salary: $250,000 - $275,000 USD/CAD

What you will do

• Consolidate disparate architectural conventions from acquired entities into a unified set of enterprise standards and playbooks.
• Define and publish NorthStar technical principles covering front-end, back-end, data platforms, and CI/CD.
• Lead enterprise-level technology choices, including AI tooling, UI stacks, and CIAM solutions.
• Build and mentor a high-caliber enterprise architecture team while leading a guild of embedded architects.
• Establish a two-tier architecture review process integrated into quarterly planning to ensure transparency and quality.
• Partner with executive leadership to align architectural strategy with business growth and engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technical architecture.
• 5+ years in a VP or Sr. Director architecture leadership role with enterprise-wide scope.
• Proven track record of leading architecture functions in complex, multi-entity, or post-acquisition environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise in modern application architecture (React, Node.js, Java) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong experience with data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and enterprise capabilities like CIAM and CI/CD.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite and engineering leadership.

• Experience in data-intensive industries like automotive, financial services, or information services.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic engineering workflows.
