Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js)

TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js): Building ClipBox, a standalone web platform within Medal, with an accent on real-time video tracking, analytics, and secure payment workflows. Focus on shipping integrations with social APIs, scaling media handling, and developing end-to-end features from UX to system design.

Location: On-site in New York City (5 days in the office)

Salary: $150K – $275K + Equity

What you will do

• Build and own the ClipBox standalone web platform end-to-end, from idea and UX to implementation.
• Scale real-time video tracking and analytics for hundreds of thousands of videos.
• Implement secure payments and payout workflows.
• Ship integrations with social APIs including TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and tech leadership to make pragmatic stack choices.
• Develop a Discord bot as part of the platform ecosystem.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full stack engineering experience.
• Must be based in New York City and able to work 5 days a week in the office.
• Proficiency with React, Redux, and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of production code performance and confidence with profiling tools.
• Ability to take full ownership of complex features and ensure end-to-end quality.
• Result-driven approach with a focus on metrics and regular shipping.

Nice to have

• Experience building and shipping original products from 0 to 1.
• Experience with Java, C#, or C++.
• Passion for the creator economy, short-form content marketing, and the gaming industry.
