What you will do

• Lead the engineering team responsible for foundational infrastructure, including messaging systems and asynchronous job processing.
• Drive architecture decisions for critical platform systems supporting hundreds of services and engineers.
• Design and evolve high-scale, high-reliability distributed systems to ensure performance and operational resilience.
• Develop an internal developer platform to standardize service creation, deployment, and observability.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into the engineering lifecycle for automated testing and developer workflow acceleration.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering organization through hiring and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Deep hands-on experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong background in messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
• Proven experience building internal platforms or developer tooling for large organizations.
• Expertise in performance engineering, reliability practices, and AI tooling for engineering workflows.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for partnering with senior leadership and principal engineers.
