Director, Insurance Product Filing & Lifecycle Management (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote/work from home; must reside in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia.

Salary: $180,504–$236,911 per year in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington; $162,453–$213,220 per year in all other locations.

What you will do

• Lead the ACA individual and small group QHP product lifecycle from design translation through regulatory filing, implementation, and optimization.
• Coordinate product-specific filing components and documentation, including PBT, SOB, SBC, and benefit materials.
• Manage filing readiness, regulatory objections, escalations, production readiness, and release schedules.
• Establish QA frameworks, validation processes, governance, reporting, controls, freeze windows, and version management.
• Coordinate Product, Technology, Strategic Programs, Actuarial, Operations, and external vendors on priorities, timelines, risks, and issue resolution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff responsible for product execution and QA.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in insurance product execution, regulatory filings, and related roles, including individual and small group plans.
• 5+ years managing people and 5+ years working hands-on with ACA and state-specific health insurance regulatory filings.
• 4+ years leading complex QA and production workflows, with experience in controls, documentation standards, and version management.
• 3+ years partnering with senior leaders, managing complex project calendars, operating rhythms, forums, and meeting cadences.
• 3+ years managing third-party vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, healthcare, or a quantitative discipline; willingness to travel up to 25%.
