Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States, excluding Hawaii)
Salary: $182,750 – $204,250

What you will do
- Partner with HR, IT, and security stakeholders to provide practical legal guidance for internal operations.
- Lead legal matters regarding employment, privacy, and security.
- Translate complex regulations into efficient and actionable operational advice.
- Build foundational legal processes to support the company's reach and impact.
- Manage data breach and cyber incident responses and review related contractual agreements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive legal experience as a practicing attorney.
- 5+ years of employment law experience covering worker classification, FLSA, EEOC, and wage and hour issues.
- 5+ years of healthcare privacy and security law experience, including HIPAA and state consumer privacy laws.
- Experience with state AI laws in the context of employment and privacy (e.g., automated decision making).
- Must be based in the United States, excluding Hawaii.
Nice to have
- In-house counsel experience within high-growth technology, digital health, or healthcare startups.
- Expertise in marketplace, gig-economy, or platform-based business models.
- Advanced experience navigating complex worker classification issues at scale.
- Healthcare regulatory experience.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management, including drafting and negotiating.
