What you will do

• Develop and execute integrated communications plans aligned with organizational mission and policy initiatives.
• Secure media coverage across national, trade, and regional outlets while maintaining journalist relationships.
• Create high-quality content including press releases, op-eds, policy briefs, and impact reports.
• Collaborate with program leads to translate technical objectives into stakeholder-ready narratives.
• Manage digital strategy, social media engagement, and email marketing to amplify organizational reach.
• Plan and execute events, briefings, and webinars for policymakers and industry partners.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7–10+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields.
• Proven experience promoting policy initiatives at Federal, State, or Local levels.
• Exemplary writing and storytelling skills with a portfolio of high-quality materials.
• Strong media relations instincts and experience managing crises.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, clean transportation, or nonprofit sectors.
