What you will do

• Perform diversified machining operations, including setup, with minimal supervision.
• Produce parts and assemblies meeting strict technical specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment to ensure acceptable functionality and quality.
• Determine and utilize proper tools for each specific assignment.
• Maintain equipment and work areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Handle material movement within the department using hand trucks.

Requirements

• High school diploma and completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship program as a Machinist.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Machinist.
• Experience operating CNC and manual lathes (0.5”–15” diameters), mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds up to four times per hour.
• Good eyesight and hearing for the use of precision instruments and detection of abnormal machine sounds.
• Ability to remain on feet for an eight-hour shift.
