Salary: $116,080–$159,610/year plus 30% incentive

What you will do

• Underwrite complex new and renewal Marine Cargo accounts from initial submission through policy issuance.
• Analyze loss histories and collaborate with actuarial partners to determine sound pricing and risk selection.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with retail and wholesale brokers across the U.S.
• Provide technical policy review, coverage guidance, and mentorship to junior underwriters.
• Manage a Marine Cargo pipeline to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
• Represent the company at industry events, broker meetings, and client presentations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of complex retail & wholesale Inland Marine underwriting experience.
• Must possess valid US Work Authorization; no visa sponsorship provided.
• Demonstrated ability to independently underwrite, negotiate, and manage complex cargo risks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Four-year college degree.
• CPCU or similar professional designation.
• Experience with logistics and project cargo.
