What you will do

• Design and maintain planning and prediction systems, including trajectory generation and decision-making algorithms.
• Develop production-quality software using modern C++ in a Linux environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Safety, Controls, Perception, and Simulation.
• Execute validation strategies across SiL, HiL, and ViL environments.
• Debug vehicle behavior by analyzing system performance and implementing software improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S. or Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Robotics, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or Master’s with 3+, PhD with 1+).
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ development within Linux environments.
• Experience developing robotics, autonomous vehicle, or complex real-time software systems.
• Experience with motion planning, behavior prediction, or decision-making capabilities.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and scalable development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with optimization techniques like Model Predictive Control (MPC).
• Experience applying machine learning techniques such as reinforcement learning or imitation learning.
• Proficiency in both C++ and Python.
• Experience with large-scale autonomy validation and simulation platforms.
