TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the United States (San Francisco, New York, Portland, or remote within the US).

Salary: $68,300 – $85,400 USD (based on location).

What you will do

  • Handle dispute intake and resolution processes, including pre-arbitration, arbitration, and ACH disputes.
  • Review and assess user-provided information to determine the validity of filed disputes.
  • Manage high-volume caseloads within established service level agreements.
  • Submit chargebacks to Mastercard as needed.
  • Document rationale for risk decisions with supporting evidence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process observability, scalability, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in customer support or investigations.
  • Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with managing customer-facing queues and CRM tools like Zendesk.
  • Understanding of banking products such as ACH, wires, SWIFT, and cards.
  • Ability to work in a high-risk environment under minimal supervision.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with card scheme chargeback rules (Visa or Mastercard).
  • Experience with escalation handling.
