What you will do

• Develop and review electrical design packages for medium and high voltage substations.
• Create SCADA point lists, RTU programs, and HMI configurations.
• Design site network and communication architectures compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Implement cybersecurity configurations on substation devices, including NERC CIP compliance.
• Evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Investigate root causes of system failures and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in design, modeling, and testing of substation communication systems.
• Expertise in industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3.0, and Ethernet/IP.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong command of the English language for technical communication.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Prior utility consulting experience.
